Revered Nightingales

18th of December, 2019. I still vividly remember around 10 PM, Jose beeped me and said, “G*go may class list na tayo, ka-se-send lang sa akin ni Dean” and to my surprise I replied, “T*NGINA PATINGIIIINNN” [excuse me for any profound statements we used here haha]

This was literally my first reaction upon receiving that heart-pounding message that made up until 5AM the next day. And without any second to waste, I nervously opened two photos containing the master list of two sections for the upcoming semester. I immediately skimmed the lists and frustratingly said , “tangina magkasama tayo pero di natin sila kasama.”

You may say that I was acting a bit too much; the fact that we’re still be seeing each other’s ugly faces everyday is completely okay, it’s just that we will attend classes with different schedules and enter different rooms and try to socialize with totally different people all over again. It’s not that hard right? Or is it?

I sat down for a moment and contemplated for days asking myself, who am I eating with at lunch or dinner? Who will accompany me on the way home? Who will be my future groupmates? Who will I entrust the long list of tasks we’ll be definitely doing? It just hit me hard realizing that I became dependent with each other’s company in a span of a semester only.

And so a new semester came with the occurrence of explosion of Taal Volcano at the same time. No Shie, Danie, Maan and Miguel while eating lunch, going home neither going to school, it’s just a sheer luck if we bump each other on the way and it happens rarely. Despite the misaligned schedules given to us, there is Jose, Jomella, EJ, CJ, Monica and Gwen throughout to survive the battle inside the halls of the College of Nursing.

Now as we enter into much higher level of our academic life, may I dedicate this to all of you: my support system ever since, my family , my friends and my so-called non-biological siblings. 🙂

To Monica, always keep your head held high. Congratulations because you passed another semester in this college while tirelessly making both ends meet. Hats off to you young lady, you put on such a good fight with life’s cruelty and that is indeed an achievement already. No turning back ’cause this is another big leap on our journey. :>

To Jomella, my greatest frienemy of the decade. I may always pick a fight on you but deep inside I care for you more than anyone else could, and I mean it. I know life is tough but you are much tougher! Seriously, you can go places with your motherly attitude towards us. Thank you for taking care of us, of me as well. Good job for passing the semester. IMY my Maureen Wroblewitz ❤

To Gwyneth, TANG— joke lang HAHAHAHAHA keep your promises owkay? Tropa tropa tayo rito HAHAHAHAHA laham kita pero ang sarap mo kasi murahin for no reason HAHAHAHA Jokes aside, eventhough you’re having a hard time at times, I really admire your skills you perform during retdems. I really can’t wait to see you in full white 🙂

To Nofre/CJ, don’t be discouraged dear, I’m always hear to listen out and help you okay? Thank you for being the person who remember the smallest details of me and other people. You have the greatest potential to be a nurse somedayyyyy keep the passion burning ❤

To EJ, congratulations my almost twin! Thank you for being such a good secretary of the class and our group as well, you’re the best host of bahay ni matutina HAHAHAHAHA If there’s anything you want to share about the randomest of things, we will always be glad to hear those. Congratulations to us!

To Maan, I MISS YOU BIG TIMEEEE Congrats for clearing the first year! I saw your development from Senior High up to College and I can attest that you’ve really grown up as a person that you are today. Sorry if sometimes we offend you with your accent HAHAHA Masbate represent! Mag-dedate pa tayo after quarantine owki HAHAHAHA

To Danie, our legitimate Japanese friend, our ray of sunshine, our kawaii fren na Pokemon hunter HSHAHSAHSHHAHA I congratulate you for surviving the semester though we’re not physically present along the way but still that does not mean I didn’t shower my support to you all this time because  I see to it that in every gaps within our schedule , we continuously tap our backs and send motivation to pass another day and looks like we made it! ❤

To Miguel, I can’t be more proud to you seriously, I was kinda worried to you at the start but you pulled it off. Congratulations for passing this almost unbearable semester and continue the good start that you made early on. Thank you for standing as “kuya” HAHAHAHAHAH IMYSM!! Sana magkaklase na ulit tayo next sem hehez ❤

To Jose, my human diary ever since. Thank you for keeping my secrets whether it’s a petty little secret or a big nasty one haha! Thank you for supporting me every step of the way and thank you for being with me basically the whole semester and February nights, counting the days ‘til we perform the most unwilling performance of our lives. You’re one of the best leaders I’ve seen in years. Continue radiating that Gemini aura in you ‘cause definitely that’s an asset of yours hehe

Last but definitely not the least, to Franshierine Alcanlezgooooo! A big congratulations to us for leaping into the 2^nd level of our college life. Thank you for all the times I felt cheated, I complained, you know how I love to complain HAHAHAHAHA CHAROT You know what’s not charot? It’s the fact that “God gave me you” yiiiieee sorry Danie HAHAHAHAHA you’re an angel barbers sent from heaven , you know how to mediate fights and balance all our personalities and I miss laughing so hard with youuuu sabay tayong pumasok ditto, sabay-sabay rin nating tatapusin ‘to! Sana lang talaga hindi magaya sa MP—HAHAHAHA Lez pray for the best and we will claim our licenses together SOON!
